When Sangerhausen re-opens to visitors, would someone please take ID-type photos of this rose.

Margaret, would you add the black and white photo from ‘The Rose Annual’, UK, 1947, page 40 please. (I am afraid I answered no, when I should have answered yes, and my printer refuses to turn itself on these days.)

Do you have a problem with this Margaret, or did it slip under the floorboards?

Our Garden Journal 2(1): 46-47 Some Mildew Proof Roses Fortunately these cover a wide range of colors, suffusions and tints, and as they are hybrid-teas and teas are the loveliest roses that grow, how thankful we should be for even a limited number of mildew proof, resistant and immune roses. At the head of the list because she merits it, I will place Mrs. Wemyss Quinn, a copper, gold and saffron, tipped with crimson: a remarkable rose with remarkable foliage, as well as one of the most liberal blooming of all the roses.

The Garden 82: 429 (Nov 16, 1918) Mrs. Wemyss Quinn (Pernetiana) is almost the only yellow Rose which appears able to resist the autumn rains. All the yellow and golden Roses love warmth and sunshine, and, even if they flower at this time of year, their blooms are usually dull and colourless; but Mrs. Wemyss Quinn is still producing buds and flowers of quite a deep yellow shade, which withstand the rain successfully.
