Bred by Frank Bart Schuurman (New Zealand, before 1991).
Introduced in New Zealand by Riverland Nurseries, Ltd. in 1991 as 'Little Gem'.
Class:
Miniature, Patio.  
Bloom:
Orange-pink.  Salmon orange.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 1.5".  Small, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Spreading.  Small, matte, dark green foliage.  

Height: 20" to 26" (50 to 65cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
The May 1999 issue of American Rose Magazine says an additional synonym for this rose is 'Little Gem'.
Patio Gem was removed from the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens (ARBG) Display Trial because its trial period expired.
