Interesting rose. Does quite well in heat and humidity. Incredibly thorny which makes the fact it grows really low and very wide a challenge with placement. Color is medium, bright orange with a satin-like finish and is quite stable to the end, some colortropic shading does appear towards finish. Blooms are small, petals have a squared off edge to them, blooms usually in singles but will throw clusters. Like it’s peers Comanche and Simon Bolivar, every so often a bloom will appear which seems to belong to someone else as it is so much larger than usual and uncharacteristically show table formal in shape. Sort of dropped my jaw when I realized it has the same parentage as Duet! Duet is loose and casual and gentle, nearly thornless, grows as tall as wide, almost no similarities with these siblings.
