Bloom:
White, cherry-red stripes. Strong fragrance. up to 50 petals. Average diameter 4". Large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, globular bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.
Habit:
Height of 6' to 10' (185 to 305 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 9b. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .
Notes:
The seed parent was an unnamed variety of Moscata. Refer 1909 reference. 'Variegata di Bologna's tendency to revert is certainly due to the fact that the pollen parent ('Pride of Reigate') was a sport of 'Comtesse d’Oxford'.
