Have a crazy weakness for mid-century Grandifloras and finally own this one and yes, LOVE IT. The color is bright, cheerful, a very "clear" red that does not blue nor looks pink and I was expecting it to lean a little pink..........love seeing the "family" characteristics in my roses, the glossy Peace foliage on Promise and Rose Gaujard, how Portrait grows bolt upright with strange and vigorous sprays like Pink Parfait, how Double Delight absolutely inherited its somewhat rangey and lopsided growth from Garden Party...........and my absolute favorite rose, Cherry-Vanilla, with its distinctive light green edged red folilage............well, I believe El Capitan is CV's Father and there it is...........
