Bred by Pierre (fils) Bernaix (France, before 1926).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1927 as 'La Mie au Roy'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'La Mie au Roy'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Apricot, yellow undertones, carmine-pink reverse, ages to cream .  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large buds.  
Habit:
Upright, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
La Mie au Roy = Old name of the commune Notre-Dame-du-Thil, today part of Beauvais. Originally "Miauroy", from the Latin "Malredum". The church of Notre-Dame-du-Thil has its oldest parts from the XIth century.

'La Mie au Roy' in Sangerhausen is mislabeled.
