Book (1932) Page(s) 34. Harry H. Hazlewood. The New Roses of 1932. Garden Varieties. This section represents those free-flowering and decorative types which do not come up to exhibition standard. 'Impress' (A. Dickson) and 'Rudolph Valentino' (P. Ducher) are two richly coloured moderate growing varieties, after the habit of 'Shot Silk'. Both were sold, in America, and have been sent out in that country prior to dissemination in the land of their origin. The colour value is high, but their success here will depend on their ability to resist defoliation and dying back.
