Origin:
Bred by Toullier (France, before 1832).
Introduced in Australia by Exotic Nursery (Australia) in 1851 as 'La Biche'.

Noisette.  
Bloom:
White, blush shading.  Strong, tea fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Glossy foliage.  7 leaflets.  
Height of 6' to 8' (185 to 245 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
La Biche, as stated above is a Noisette, but as the photos attest, the rose in commerce in the USA under that name is not. Those in commerce in the US have been identified by Philip Robinson as Mlle. de Sombreuil, a Tea.
