Pomponella is a marvelous baby . Although there is no scent to it , it is one lovely art with little pompoms , neatly arranged petals in a beautiful and glowing mid pink . The bush itself is neat , too . We keep it in our garden in mid shade surrounded by resp. tall natural grasses and a hornbeam bedge , a cherry tree , privet , ...
Actually 1m20 at most of free space on 3 sides and few hours of direct sunlight . Perhaps precisely that is why it behaves so well and neatly . We expect it to grow upon the frame of 2m by 1m20 in the far or near future . In its 5th year now and barely pruned 1mby40cm , it enchants every person getting introduced to , come roselover or any person who would normally not be interested At All in plants let alone roses .

Everyone's favourite in our rose- and other bushes trees and what have you rich , poisonfree garden . A little black dress CC kind of rose .

Is this rose prone to balling? Also, does it start blooming early in rose season? Thanks in advance.

it is listed as growing at the Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College 500 College Avenue, Swarthmore, PA 19081.
I haven't heard of John Ford in New Zealand breeding a rose with this code name and HelpMeFind is fairly up-to-date with the New Zealand roses. I believe the Scott Arboretum may well grow the 2005 Kordes rose 'Pomponella' KORpompan and their listing of FORpompan is a simple typo.

This is possible, Patricia, they have other Kordes Roses listed with their breeder codes. In that case the listing should be merged into KORpompan.
