This photo taken in Newburyport MA, zone 6b, at the end of November 2012. One year old shrub overtook a large metal trells and is still green, even after several freezes and snow. This rose has a very brief period of dormancy in our area. New Dawn is the rose on the left side of the trellis, Peggy Martin is on the right.

Newburyport, MA, June 2013 - We have had this rose for two years. In that time she took over and destroyed a trellis (we replaced it this spring). No fragrance that we can tell, few if any hips, but this is a rose on steroids. In New England, she stays green all winter. Heavily pruned back this spring in order to remove old trellis and insert a new one.... that hasn't affected bloom, growth, or well, anything with this gal!
