Mine was short lived. I planted it last Spring in the ground in the sun as I do with my other roses and it was dead by November. A rose with known vigor is going into its place.

Maybe Parole as a fragrant very big flowered substitute?

Agree with Jay Jay on Parole. Saw that at Home Depot (grafted on Dr. Huey) in a tiny pot, with 4 HUGE blooms, and smell amazing. Parole bloomed well with our very alkaline tap water. A month later I came back, but we had a week-long acidic rain, so Parole broke out in blackspots, so I didn't buy it. However, that grafted-Parole was glorious in hot & dry weather in a dinky pot !!

Mine died also the summer before last. I thought it was my zone 5 climate, or maybe just me.

Gorgeous flowers on a puny plant. Maybe it needs to be grafted.
