San Jose, August 2013. My plant is spending its second year in a 5-gallon pot. Quite floriferous, great-looking blooms, amazing fragrance, but a very weak plant. At the end of last year, a wind storm tore the entire top of the plant off the roots (never seen that happen before, and the rose didn't have that much growth on it). It has been growing ever so slowly this year, and the roots still haven't reached the bottom of the 5-gallon.
