*** Growing near Houston, TX: sub tropical zone 9a. Mild winters, hot, extremely humid summers that last half the year. ***

Purchased from Murphy's Roses Sep 2012. I'm really liking this rose!

Apr 2014- planted in serious shade. Gets maybe an hour? Of sun a day. I will move it if it does too badly.

7/3/2014- Sun increased by a few hours, and plant has done really well. Blooms constantly, no disease or other problems. Vigorous. Currently about 4 feet high by five feet wide. Flushing with 40+ blooms.

4/9/2015- Plant is about 5x5 now, blooms very frequently. Winter flowers are very large and pretty.

10/6/2015- plant is reaching for the top of my eight foot fence, and is easily just as wide. I absolutely love this rose.

4/2016- Heavy rains and hail damaged Trinity, so I went ahead and gave it a deep pruning. It was 9 feet tall and about 10 feet wide, and is now 5 x 5. I hope he doesn't have a cow...

5/30/2016- Didn't mind being pruned at all. Blooming like mad.

4/20/2021- Took a very heavy hit during our five day freeze event. Died back to about 18 inches. All but one (Miss Caroline) of my Bermuda roses reacted the same way. They don't like the cold one little bit.

6/5/2023- Rebounded after the last deep freeze, and might have taken another hit this past Christmas when we had another oddly deep freeze event, but I had a large makeshift greenhouse over it because I needed a place to store my potted citrus grove (I have 15, 20 gallon potted citrus plants!). They all stayed nice and cozy over the winter, and during the freeze event, we had a small heater to give extra support. Obviously Trinity did not suffer an inch of dieback, and all of the citrus made it through just wonderfully. Outside of this greenhouse area, several of my tea roses died all the way back to the ground, and some have not re-sprouted. :(

Note: Not heavily thorned, though I wouldn't call it thornless. Also, this isn't one that I can smell.
