‘Coral Cluster’ = Polyantha. Murrell, UK, 1920.

'Coral Cluster' Shorter  Coral   pink  Remontant   P2   H1
This rose is the first to suggest that the Polyanthas had a surprising colour change in store. It was a sport of 'Orleans Rose', introduced by R. Murrell  in 1920, and promptly recognized  in the Rose Annual 1921 as 'quite a new shade  amongst the polyanthas'.The colour is pale, and the coral touch most pleasing.

[From "Classification et Création des Roses Polyantha", by Dr. Walter E. Lammerts, translated from the ARS Annual 1947]
Une série vraiment remarquable de sports a été produite par Orléans Rose, et certaines de ces roses ont, à leur tour, donné des sports. La liste de ces sports, établie par ordre chronologique, est la suivante :
ORLEANS ROSE (1909), rose vif, cramoisi, centre blanc.
Coral Cluster (1920) — rose corail.

Polyantha Roses
Polyanthas are, perhaps the most truly everblooming of all Roses, being scarcely ever out of flower during the whole growing season... They are especially valuable for massing, edging, and to some extent for mingling with other flowers.
Coral Cluster. (R. Murrell, 1921.) Small, pale, coral-pink flowers of rather delicate shade, in very large trusses. Plant of excellent growth and profuse in bloom; especially good in cool weather.
An unusual and very attractive Rose with the habit of Mrs. W. H. Cutbush and Mme. Norbert Levavasseur. Charming color. $1 each.
