From Wills cigarette cards, Roses – a series of 40 cards. Issued in 1936. No 7. CORAL CLUSTER (Polyantha pompon) Introduced 1920 Pale coral-pink A very lovely variety for bedding, or growing in pots under glass, or in a window. The habit of growth is dwarf and compact, and the blooms last over a long period. It requires very little pruning, beyond cutting out any dead wood and shortening back during the second week in March those shoots that have bloomed the previous year. It is one of the most popular of the Polyantha pompon varieties. These miniature roses are largely used in Continental countries for planting on graves, where they are known as "Grave Roses."
