    Discovered by Johannes W. M. Nijenhuis (Netherlands, before 1995). Discovered by Hette Spek (Netherlands, before 1995).
    Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Wholesale) in 1996 as 'Black Beauty'.
    Class:
    Floribunda, Florists Rose.  
    Bloom:
    Dark red.  Mild fragrance.  30 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
    Habit:
    Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, narrow.  Medium, matte, medium green foliage.  
    Growing:
    USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
