Paris and Maney (The Prodigious Ophelia Rose, Trans. Iowa. Hort. Soc., 75: 268-277. (1940) list the seed parent of 'Emily Rhodes' as "seedling of Golden Ophelia".

I haven't added this reference as Paris and Maney (1940) probably mis-read Alister Clark in the 'Australian Rose Annual', (1937) wherein he wrote: "It is a seedling from Golden Ophelia, which was probably crossed with the pollen of Zephirine Drouhin".
To me the pollen parent seems more in doubt than the seed parent.

Rowley (1960) reported ZD produces about 6% viable pollen, so it might be a pollen parent. But I'd love to see Emily Rhodes in person.

They were quick to respond.
