*** Growing near Houston, TX: sub tropical zone 9a. Mild winters, hot, extremely humid summers that last half the year. ***
Purchased as a band from Long Ago Roses July 2012.
General Notes: Nice perfume, long, lanky canes, blackspots horribly. I would not recommend for the Houston area.
5/24/2014 - Planted in raised bed in new garden. During high summer, this area gets 8+ hours of direct sun (late morning until evening), and then the rest is filtered sun.
2/2016- I need to remove this rose. I do love the scent and bloom, but the disease issues are too extreme (and I'm not picky in that area). Even spraying this rose doesn't help. YMMV
3\23\2016- cut down to the ground with intentions to dig it out, but it sprang back so full and vigorous... Sigh. She remains for now.
6/4/2018- Plant is still smallish, about 3h x 3w. Disease is still the biggest problem with this rose.
4/27/2020- Constant disease may be killing this plant. It just isn't a good one for my micro climate.
