Hi Beth, I just read of your tragic loss due to the fire. I'm so very sorry!
I know it's not much, but I have one tiny cutting of 'Verschuren' that *seems* to be taking. I'd be happy to send it to you in the spring. She's such a rare and interesting girl!
Let me know!
Best wishes, Victoria

Hi Victoria,
Aaaw thank you so much. That's very kind of you. Fortunately tho, my VERSCHUREN did survive the fire. It's doing pretty well. But I really appreciate the offer!
Thanks,
Beth

Is it rose colored glasses or are some of the newer hybrid teas looking really good, and exciting. Much more interesting than the likes of Pink Promise. Are the Hybrid Teas entering a renaissance or is this a temporary blip ?

I don't think it's rose-colored glasses, or wishful thinking. The newer hybrid teas have been very good! The wholesale catalogs have been full of gorgeous, healthier new varieties and more growers are carrying the sweeties from Kordes. I'm optimistic for a Hybrid Tea renaissance!

I'm loving Pinkerbelle. Planted it bare-root earlier this spring, and it steadily grew despite a long, gloomy rainy season. It's healthy, not a spot of disease in my no-toxin garden, and the blooms look like delicate painted china. I'm glad I gave I gambled on giving it a place of honor where pedestrians can see and enjoy it. Let's see how the year goes.

Do you have to disbud? It seems like every stem wants to produce a cluster of 5. Also, is yours ownroot or budded? I received an ownroot plant from Edmunds.

I don't disbud -- I am getting a mix of single and group buds. Mine is also own-root. I bought it bare-root from a local organic garden store.

I spray some of my roses (like Chicago Peace) twice a month with a systemic, but this might fit with the OGR's I don't spray

Our colleague bought it, planted it, and changed the name to 'Lucille Ball' for herself. Much better!

Dear Helpmefind, I am a gigantic fan of your site! I refer to it at least every day, and send my customers here all the time, and they rave about it.
I recently renewed my membership, but I keep seeing popups asking me to join. Am I a premium member, or not? I am confused! I seem to have several identities on the site. Is only one a premium member?
Also, I just got an email saying that another member wanted me to check his/her wishlist against my availability. I do not know how to do this, and when I clicked the link in the email, it did not take me to where I could do that. I would like to help this person find her roses!
Please help clarify.
Best Wishes,
Victoria Beal Gethsemane Roses

Yes, you have a premium membership - thank you. The pop up you are seeing is asking if you would consider sponsorship for your nursery. Sponsorship adds many advanced features to your HelpMeFind listing to better promote your nursery to all HelpMeFind visitors. Sponsorship also includes a free member upgrade to premium member status so we would prorate your premium membership into your sponsorship extending it. See the "Sponsorship" menu item for complete details.

Thanks for the response, I will put the sponsorship question to my boss.
As for the second question. How do I respond to that member's request to check her wish list? Even when I am signed in, the link in your first email to me only takes me to my own listing.
Help me help her (him?)!
Thank you!
Victoria

That's a feature only available to sponsor listings.
