Felicite Parmentier blooming in my Claremont, California garden on May 29, 2023. The plant came from Heirloom Old Garden Roses in Oregon many years ago. It is now actually climbing in a loquat tree and is doing some suckering. It occasionally sets hips, but I got no germinations in the one time I tried planting seeds. This is the most fragrant rose in my garden, a super wafter, in a garden full of fragrant roses. Drought tolerant, shade tolerant, and always with healthy leaves.

An over 20 year old plant of Paul Ricault, with dark pink flowers of strong fragrance and packed with petals, rough, wrinkled, matte foliage, very thorny (grabs my hair when I walk by!), arching canes, climbing (over 20 feet high now, climbing in a juniper tree shared with Cl. Cecile Brunner), suckers on its own roots, sets no hips.
