Hi.
My antivirus program informs me that HMF is infected with a virus and then shuts down.
Are you aware of this and can you correct it so we can apply for roses at HMF again.
Sincerely
Poul Erik

Agree there is a problem. There has been an issue with uploading photos.

I'm not getting any warnings today. Seems to have been fixed (it may have been a false positive).

Managed to get a couple up this morning before again received the message: "You need to select a photo file name to upload from your computer. Use the BROWSE button." ; and yes a photo file was selected.

I've not gotten any and I'm on here procrastinating a lot of the day (hurray working from home due to sydney covid situation...).

Only thing I haven't tried is replicating Johno's photo issue.....probably not go down well spamming the uploads and deleting the pictures to see if I can replicate given I don't "work" here (for context, software engineer, replicating customer issues is just something I feel compelled to do...I want to know and tinker). There's probably some alert back in the console.log/network response/etc but kind of tricky to get customers looking at that part of browser tools

Something that may help relevant people with Poul's situation is what operating system is being used and what browser and the versions of (eg windows 10, chrome 96.0.4664.110) and specifically what antivirus program. Johno's is likely more server side processing of file uploads and a non precise error messaging returned to the UI....but I can only see so much from the front end and general assumptions :)

I was uploading photos the past days and could not detect any issues.

I have looked at the photos files which would not upload. It would appear that difficulties occurred with high resolution photos. Reduce the size and problem solved. The issue may be with the internet service provider and type of internet provision.

The maximum size allowed is 900px x 900px. You cannot just take any shot on your phone or whatever, and upload it straight to this site. You have to use an image editor of some sort to process the images down to something suitable for general web use.
