Today I collected cuttings from what I suspect is an OGR. This rose is about 9 feet tall and looks like a small tree. The blooms are big and blowsy, light golden yellow in color with red probably on the edges. The owner who gave me cuttings said people say they are yellow with red. I do not have a pic of it in bloom nor info on fragrance. It is once blooming, so next year perhaps.

The final verdict is in on casualties from the 2024/2025 winter.
– Chantilly Cream - 1 bush in North Garden - planted bud union too high? Dr. Huey rootstock. Two other CCs survived. All 3 planted in 2024.
– Wildfire - 1 bush North Garden - again, suspected planted bud union too high. Planted in 2022, Dr. Huey rootstock
– Margaret Merril - 2 bushes in South Garden planted 2024. Both own root so why??

There are several bushes with only one strong cane at the moment. These will need to throw some basal canes to avoid the shover
