Gardner Seedling List
We have been working on the development of Peonies since 1925 and have produced quite a number of varieties that find favor with visitors to our peony show—so much so that the bulk of our orders for peony plants are for plants of our own origination. All seedlings listed have been tested and proven for years before being offered for sale.
No. 41.—Florence Gardner Bolin—A good sized bloom of bright pink with light red markings that enhance the beauty of the flower. In shape and construction, the flower resembles a large pink carnation and many visitors have suggested that it be named "Pink Carnation". The plant produces a very large number of medium sized blooms that are excellent for cutting....$3.00

No. 397.—Leone Gardner Hanratty—This is a red red that seems to glow in the twilight as night falls. As other reds disappear in the gathering gloom, this one seems to become more red. It is the closest to being a true red of the many sorts we have. A good sized double on strong, rigid stems....$5.00
